Mental Health Services

TASC’s cognitive-behavioral treatment approach aids clients to make lifestyle changes by learning new ways to deal with the circumstances impinging on his/her mental functioning and to learn more effective ways of coping with these issues. Sessions focus on the attainment of the client's individual treatment plan goals. Available services include individual, family/couples counseling, psychological evaluation and psychological testing.

Psychological Evaluation and Report
This service is used to determine a client’s psychological functioning. It recommends corrective actions and/or treatment services for clients.

Mental Health Intake Assessment and Report
A diagnostic interview which addresses the client’s mental health. A written report includes identifying information, outpatient/inpatient mental health history, medical history, at least one psychometric test (i.e., Beck Depression Inventory/Beck Anxiety Inventory, Dissociative Experience Scale etc.), and a treatment diagnosis and prognosis. This service is indicated for those clients who may be dealing with depressive/anxiety symptoms (or other mental health issue, in the absence of a substance-related issue) that may be impeding his/her ability to function effectively in his/her life.

Psychological Testing and Report
This service is used to determine a client’s psychological abilities and functioning. Tests in the battery include, at a minimum, the : WAIS (Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale)-III, MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory)-2, TAT (Thematic Apperception Test), and House-Tree-Person. Additional tests used, as clinically indicated include, the: WRAT, Bender-Gestalt, BDI, DES.
